Why this exists

Getting an app onto the App Store or Google Play means producing a surprising amount of artwork. Apple wants screenshot sets at specific pixel dimensions for every device class you support. Google Play wants its own phone and tablet sets plus a mandatory 1024×500 feature graphic. Both want an icon, and the icon alone expands into dozens of files once you account for Android's density buckets and adaptive layers.

For a solo developer or a small team, that is a full day of work per release, repeated every time the UI changes. Most of it is mechanical: the same design, re-cropped and re-exported at a list of sizes someone has to look up. MoonStart exists to collapse that day into a few minutes, without requiring anyone to learn a general-purpose design tool first.

How it works

You design one deck of screens — a headline, a caption and a device frame holding your screenshot — and MoonStart renders it into every size each store requires. The same principle drives the icon studio: one icon design fans out into Android mipmaps and adaptive layers, an iOS AppIcon.appiconset with its manifest, web favicons, and the store banners.

• Export bundles laid out for fastlane, so continuous delivery can pick them up without renaming anything.
• Optional AI assistance for listing copy, backgrounds and placeholder screens — always optional, never required to use the editor.
• Free browser tools for screenshot sizes, ASO character counting, colour palettes and privacy-policy drafting.

Who makes it

MoonStart is built and maintained by Rahul Chauhan, an independent developer. It is not backed by a larger company, and there is no sales team — feedback goes straight to the person writing the code. If something is broken or missing, the contact page reaches him directly.

How we handle your work

Projects, uploaded screenshots and generated assets belong to you. We do not use your uploads to train models, and we do not resell or share them. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is stored and why, and the terms of service cover the rest.

Editorial independence

Some pages on this site compare MoonStart with other tools, and some articles recommend approaches that MoonStart happens to implement. Those comparisons describe real, checkable capabilities, and where a competitor does something better we say so. If this site ever carries third-party advertising, ads will be labelled and kept visually separate from editorial content, and no advertiser will have any say over what the articles say.
